Mikono and Riti 2002

So, when I first started working on UltraS, I had previously been working on Power Rangers Ecstasy!!!, my ultimately ill-fated Power Rangers fan series.

I sort of abandoned PRE!!! for UltraS, and decided to draw a picture to commemorate that transition.

To the left is a clearly worn-out, exhausted Riti. To the right is an exuberant, mocking Mikono (who also has green hair and red eyes).

This piece helped me put PRE!!! on the shelf, and it wasn't until 2006 that I came back to PR in the same way.

Mikono looks pretty good here. As time went on, she became more screamingly shoujo. Here, she looks like she actually has personality. Sigh.
